7 May, 2010 | 2 Comments
- Media studies people love Habermas and the public sphere.
- I don’t do Foucault.
- Rupert Murdoch is more evil than I originally thought.
- Manuel Castells is a genius.
- The Guinness in the Institute of Education bar is pretty good. Despite being served in plastic glasses.
- The ‘Twitter revolution‘ in Iran was not a revolution. And its organisation had very little to do with Twitter.
- Pretty much all media production in the World is owned by four companies: Times Warner, Disney, News Corp and Viacom. And pretty much all news comes from two sources: Reuters and Associated Press. Capitalism strikes again.
- I’m really not interested in becoming a journalist.
- Everyone should read this blog and this article by Evgeny Morozov.
- Zimbabwe has the highest internet penetration in Sub-Saharan Africa.
